Our Scavenger Hunt!

This scavenger hunt was about finding people around campus and there are different scenarios that you can ask your friends or teachers and find quotes and pictures and see what other people say about those scenarios.

The most challenging part of this assignment was finding the right people to ask about each scenario. Some people had more to say than others on each topic, so it was a bit of a challenge trying to get a good quote for each topic. However, it was a lot of fun to find out what each person liked about different aspects of Seton Hall.

Dana’s Tweets

  1. Samantha Paradise, a senior public relations and theatre double major, quoted, “Seton Hall has always been my home and full of so many memories but nothing tops basketball games. You couldn’t have paid me to care about college basketball.
  2. Carolyn Murray, a senior double major in Biology and Social Work quotes, “Can’t wait for spring green season, but I also love going to the green during Christmas and seeing the tree!!”
  3. Terri Mc Adoo, an adjunct Seton Hall Communication professor said, “Social media allows us to stay connected and informed, all good. But the danger? A hyper-linked state reduces productivity, honest and relationships. Too much social media is like eating ice cream. You get brain freeze.”
  4. “My favorite place to eat in South Orange would probably have to be Tito’s Burritos. The quesadillas and the lollipop s’mores are a must have,” a sophmore public relations Grace DePasquale said.

Lauren’s Tweets

  1. “I get a lot of my news from different accounts on social media, but I look to New York Times for the most credible information.” Erica Lalor, senior
  2. “I love attending the SHU basketball games, but watching at home with my dog is just as fun. Jasmine is their #1 fan!” Katelyn Knapp, senior
  3. “My favorite extracurricular activites are always going to events for my sorority. Our annual Red Dress Gala was so fun and it was for a great cause!” Jess Luchtel, junior
  4. “A little known fact that’s always stuck with me is that there are over 40,000 lights used on the Christmas tree on the green. It always looks amazing!” Victoria West, junior

My Top Five Tweets of the Class

  1. Angelique McKenzie- “I think I’ve taken the phrase ‘it’s a pirate’s life for me’ a little too seriously and I regret nothing”- Mary Ortel, a junior history major
  2. Iyanna Fairfax- “Patlene is giving #90svibe at her favorite spot on campus! The parking deck is a great view and a quiet place to relax!”
  3. Angelique McKenzie – “The ‘I can fix that’ dude from Holes went to Seton Hall.” Isabella Bellomo, a senior visual and sound media major
  4. Angelique McKenzie – “My favorite spot to eat off campus is bunny’s sports bar. The environment is fun and a nice break from the stresses of school.” -Colleen Osbahr, junior nursing student
  5. Brooke McCormick- Kelly Veronksy, a junior social and bahavioral sciences major, shows her school spirit by supporting SHU athletics. “I love the athletics here, so I show school spirit by going to the basketball games.”

One response I gave was to Angelique’s tweet about Bunnies. I said, “My friends and I love going to Bunny’s after our night classes. They have great pizza and we love the atmosphere!”
